It's hard to believe this is a debut novel. It's as though it's written by a seasoned author, the way that you're pulled in on the first page and become engaged straight away. Billy Bennett is a great character and you root for him straight away. Thrown into an alternate world, you really want to see how he fares, which keeps the pages turning. Can't recommend this book highly enough, and just hope there's more to follow.
